Advisory
Board
mhMLS
has created an Advisory Board to help us as we move
forward in creating a national MLS for manufactured
housing. This advisory board includes the following
members:
H.
Stuart Taylor is CEO of Your New Career, Inc.
a consultancy organization working with people who want
to start or acquire a business or franchise and is Acting
CEO of mhMLS... He has had a long and successful career
as a “serial entrepreneur” starting new businesses in
the United State, Europe and the Middle East. In 1964
he founded Taylor, Nelson and Associates a London, England
based market research firm. The company now Taylor Nelson
Sofres, Plc has offices in over 70 countries is quoted
on the London stock exchange and has gross sales in
access of $1.2 billion. Stuart's hold a BA degree from
Colgate University, a MBA from the Graduate School of
Business at Stanford University and a MA from the London
School of Economics in International Finance.
Richard
S. Gourley is senior vice president and chief
information officer for Alain Pinel Realtors, a $7.4
billion leader in the residential real estate industry.
Dick is a seasoned Silicon Valley technology executive
and is known as a positive builder of customer-focused
organizations. Gourley began his career with IBM Corporation
where he held a number of sales and marketing management
positions in Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
In 1991, Dick moved to Silicon Valley and joined the
Oracle Corporation in 1994 where he was appointed senior
director of marketing for Oracle's enterprise applications
business. From 1996 until mid-1998, he served as corporate
vice president of worldwide sales for Adaptec, a provider
of bandwidth management. Until recently Dick was CEO
of REInfoLink, one of the largest multiple listing services
in the country where he and his team introduced innovative
management and technical know-how into a MLS. He is
a graduate of the US Military Academy at West Point.
Peter
Shuttleworth is currently the Executive VP
- chief executive of a regional residential MLS company,
a position he have held for over twenty years. The MLS
serves over seven thousand Realtors® in Wisconsin
providing web-based information services and high-level
technical support and education. Peter has worked in
management and information technology for over thirty
years. His MLS’s subsidiary company WIREdata Corporation
trades in public information regarding real property,
also providing an online service.
Peter’s industry involvement includes 2005 Vice Chair
of the National Association of Realtors® MLS Issues
Forum as well as being a member of their Board of Directors.
peter is also a member of the Board of Directors of
the National Council of Multiple Listing Services and
served as their President in 2004. He has traveled in
Russia, Armenia and Panama as an instructor, demonstrating
how an MLS can be developed and deployed. He is frequently
invited to speak on MLS and technology and also conduct
strategic planning programs for associations and MLS'.
He is considered by his piers to be an expert on MLS
and property information systems.
WB.
Freeman is widely recognized as the foremost
expert in the field of collection, enhancement and distribution
of real estate related information. The diversity and
depth of his experience in the five principal data applications
of the real property transaction set (brokerage, MLS,
mortgage, title insurance and appraisal) has solidified
his unique, broad-based understanding of the segment
that few others enjoy. In an information servicing career
spanning twenty-six years, he has tirelessly shared
his knowledge and love of the business with a vast,
almost legendary network of contacts, connections, confidantes,
and competitors. His selection as founding chairman
of the property information industry trade association,
followed by a Lifetime Achievement Award, are fitting
tributes to a reputation he has earned as "the
marquee name in the REI Servicing Business."
Each
of these members brings a wealth of experience to mhMLS.
We feel it is critical to have not only professional
advice from individuals who have had first hand experience
in the development and operation of a MLS, but also
people who can provide experience on the technical and
administrative problems that we will encounter. Not
only can they advise us on how to most effectively deploy
the services we offer, but they will also help us to
recognize mistakes of the real estate industry has it
in has developed their multiple listing services throughout
the country.
Boyce
Belt has enjoyed a long career in services
relating to the Manufactured Housing Industry.
In
!975 he established a mortgage brokerage business, Mobile
Financial Services. He operated that business until
sometime in the early 1980s when he developed a business
marketing mobile home foreclosures which he ran until
the mid 1990s. In approximately 1995 he resumed his
mortgage brokerage services under the name of Santiago
Financial Inc., a business which he continues today,
obtaining funding for manufactured housing through major
lenders.
Boyce
also served on the Finance Committee of MHI, until his
term ended in October, 2004.
